Indoor tree that's supposed to bring money & good fortune... does it work? Can't hurt!
Only one in stock, about 3 ft tall.
Light: Money Trees prefer bright, indirect light. They can tolerate lower light conditions but thrive in moderate to bright indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight, especially intense afternoon sun, as it can scorch the leaves. A north or east-facing window is usually ideal indoors.
Temperature: Money Trees prefer warm temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C). They can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures down to 55°F (13°C) briefly, but prolonged exposure to cold drafts or temperatures below 50°F (10°C) can harm the plant.
Watering: Water Money Trees moderately, allowing the top inch (2.5 cm) of soil to dry out between waterings. In general, water thoroughly when the soil feels dry to the touch, but avoid overwatering as it can lead to root rot. Reduce watering in winter when growth slows down.
Humidity: Money Trees prefer moderate to high humidity but can tolerate average indoor humidity levels. Increase humidity by misting the leaves occasionally or placing the pot on a humidity tray filled with water and pebbles. Ensure good air circulation around the plant to prevent fungal diseases.
Soil: Plant Money Trees in a well-draining potting mix. A mix formulated for houseplants or tropical plants works well. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.
Fertilizing: Feed Money Trees with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half-strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce fertilizing in fall and winter when growth slows down.
Potting: Repot Money Trees every 1-2 years in spring if the roots have outgrown the pot. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one with drainage holes. Use gloves when handling the plant as its sap can irritate the skin.
Pruning: Trim any yellow or dead leaves as needed to maintain the plant's appearance and health. You can also prune to shape the plant and encourage bushier growth.
